Gilded bronze: France, Louis XVI period, circa 1785-1790.

PROVENANCE: private collection.

Exceptional pair of three-light candelabra, with figures of a seated young boy, holding a dog in Arita porcelain from Japan.

Most probably designed and marketed by the marchand mercier Dominique Daguerre († in 1796).
